3 Good Reasons to Learn English Japanese

Want to Learn to Write Japanese?

If it’s another language you warn to learn to write, Japanese is not a bad language to try your hand at. You can learn to write Japanese quickly with ‘Rocket Japanese’ on hand. You will also make more progress if you have a background in Korean or Chinese studies. You see,  Japanese has many similarities with Korean. It’s also heavily influenced by Chinese. As a matter of fact, a quick look at the Japanese system of writing will reveal just how heavily the Japanese borrowed from the Chinese. In a nutshell, the Japanese writing system, which is a combo of kanji and kana, was lifted from the Chinese!

That’s not to say the Japanese do not have their own alphabet or writing system at all. They do, only it’s so closely interlinked with Chinese it’s easier right off for those already familiar with Chinese to learn to write Japanese. Chinese kanji characters called Joyo Kanji are used every day and in the most basic ways in Japanese. Made up of 50 syllabic characters, the Joyo Kanji are the most basic and most often used words in Japanese. Think verbs, nouns, and adjectives. Their meanings are changed or refined through kana, which in turn may either be hiragana or katakana. The former is more widely used but the latter is not exactly without its users.
